Historic Nashville Easements, formerly Historic Nashville, Inc., is the easement-focused subsidiary of Preserve Nashville. It secures and stewards permanent preservation easements that protect significant historic properties so their character endures amid growth. If you own a property with an easement, certain changes, most often exterior ones, may need review. Interior work can also be affected depending on the terms.
We are an independent firm and are not part of Historic Nashville Easements. We explain in plain language what easements generally are and point you to the official site and to your own documents for the actual terms. Before planning changes, read the easement and ask the holder what needs review.
